Viz Video

(Dates Unknown, possibly late 90's)

Nickname: "The Red V"

Logo: On a space background, we see a gold 3-D cube spinning and rotating in it's place as it comes toward us. As it does so, it produces smaller cubes within it and the 2nd column in the cube spins/rotates. When it comes toward us, the cubes break up, then the camera pans to the right and we see them form the words "VIZ VIDEO" in an Impact typeface in italics with tiny "lines" through it. The words take place besides a 2-D polygonal shape which resembles a Red "V".

Note: When the logo is used on the packaging, the colors on the logo are swapped.

SFX: It's all computer/CGI animation except for the Red "V".

Music: A very synthesized tune that ends with a zapping sound as the music fades out.

Availability: You can check it out on videocassette releases of Hamtaro and Pokemon. DVD releases of these shows should have the new Viz Video logo instead.

Scare Factor: Median, the dark background and music could make a few jumpy.
